Joe Kline Aviation Art was commissioned by Edward “Jerry” Turner on behalf of the A/101 AVN Association to create this beautiful piece of art that honors our units forty two years of service to our country from the jungles of Vietnam to the barren regions of Iraq. The seven aircraft in the painting represent those used by our unit throughout our legacy. The original painting with it's own hand carved frame designed by Wm. Robert Stanley Sr. both are currently on loan for display at Headquarters Building, Forth Battalion, 101 Aviation Regiment , 101st Air Assault (Airborne) Division, Fort Campbell, KY. The Legacy painting and frame will have a final resting place, along with other A/101 Avn artifacts, in the new Fort Campbell, KY Wings of Liberty Military Museum when finished.
1000 limited production signed and numbered prints were produced by the artist in digital format on 24"X28" 80# classic linen cover, Avon brilliant white paper. Several hundred of these beautiful numbered prints were reserved and sold to A/101 Aviation Association members before the painting was finished to fund this project. The artist is a Vietnam Helicopter Veteran from our sister company B/101 Avn, the frame was hand carved by a Vietnam Veteran renowned for his art work. The $8000.00+ project was funded by A/101 Avn Veterans.
The remaining limited number A/101 Aviation Legacy prints are available to the general public at $20.00 each. Order your copy of this beautiful painting honoring A/101 Avn which is the first and finest of the 101st Airborne Division.
